This is a super quick and simple movement to warm up your upper back and shoulders.
You will feel both relaxed and energised after doing this movement.
Think about your hands when you do this - stretch your fingers out and make your hands 'active'. Imagine you are pushing something up or down with your hands. This will activate more muscles through your arms, shoulders and back.
This is one of our Move More Easily exercises. Keep the following in mind when you perform these movements:
- None of the exercises should hurt. If they do, ease off, perform a smaller movement or check your technique.
- Move within a comfortable range of motion. What this means for you may change from day to day, so just see how you feel each time you do the movements.
- You may feel some gentle crunching or hear some clicking in your joints as you do the movements. As long as you don't experience any pain, that's usually fine.
